Visit Todd Farms

Todd Farms

When you think of a farm, you likely think of livestock and produce. Todd Farms is a different type of farm, though. From the fields of green sugar cane to the living museum, you will enjoy a unique experience when you visit the farm.

The Cane Syrup – Seven Generations of Perfection

The Todd family has owned this farm for seven generations, and it’s spent all that time perfecting its famous cane syrup. The family might have tweaked the process over the years, but it still delivers old-fashioned syrup that has just the right amount of sweetness. You can purchase different variations of the famous syrup right there at the farm. You’ll never taste syrup this fresh and delicious.

Eat at the Café

The café serves breakfast and lunch, and while it’s small, the menu is full of favorites. You have to get the pancakes or the biscuit if you go for breakfast, then you can smother it with that famous syrup. Oh, and the smothered tots are also well worth a try. How can you possibly go wrong when tots are covered in gravy and cheddar cheese?

When it comes to lunch, choose the burger. Add a fried egg on top of it, and your taste buds will experience nirvana. The egg is fried just right, and it adds another dimension to an already delicious burger.

Check out the Museum

The museum is seriously amazing. It has more than 50 cane mills on display, some of which date all the way back to the 1800s. Many of the mills were actually used by the Todd family back in the old days. You can also look at original peanut shelling equipment and check out some old plows. This museum will take you through the techniques and equipment used in the 18th and 19th centuries. You’ll be amazed by how far farming has come in the last century.
